What we sell

Digital books, delivered as downloadable files; live training, either as a private course for your team or as a seat on a public batch; and consulting, arranged separately. Nothing is shipped.

Payment

Books. eBook purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, who act as merchant of record. That means your contract of sale for the payment itself is with them, they handle applicable taxes, and the charge on your card statement shows as theirs (DODOPAY_CLOUDARCH).

Prices are shown in the currency indicated at checkout. Taxes are calculated at checkout based on your location.

Training and consulting are not sold through Dodo Payments. They are quoted and invoiced directly by us, and paid as set out in that quote or invoice.

Delivery

Access is delivered by email to the address used at checkout, normally within a few minutes of payment. Download links are time-limited for security; if yours expires or does not arrive, email [email protected] and we will send a fresh one.

Check your spam folder before assuming something has gone wrong. If the address you entered was wrong, tell us and we will correct it.

Refunds

Our books are digital files, so how refunds work depends on whether you have downloaded your book.

If you haven't downloaded it. You can have a full refund within 14 days of purchase, as long as no file from your order has been downloaded. You don't need to give a reason. Email [email protected] from the address you bought with, or quote your order number.

Before your first download. We ask you to confirm that you want your book straight away, and that you understand that once you download it, you can no longer cancel for a change of mind. We email you a copy of that confirmation. After that, the purchase is final, apart from the cases below. If you'd like to judge the book first, the free sample chapters are there for exactly that.

If something is wrong. If a file is faulty, incomplete or won't open, or the book is materially different from how we described it, tell us and we'll put it right. We'll send you a corrected file, or refund you if we can't fix it. This applies whenever you find the problem, not only in the first 14 days.

How refunds are paid. Refunds are made through Dodo Payments, who sell our books for us as merchant of record, back to the payment method you used. Dodo emails you a refund receipt, and your bank usually shows the refund within a few working days.

Your legal rights. Nothing in this policy affects your rights under the consumer law of the country you live in. Where that law gives you a right to cancel, or a remedy that goes further than this policy, we will honour it.

Fair use. We may decline repeated refund requests where there is clear evidence of abuse, such as a pattern of buying and refunding. This never limits a refund the law entitles you to.

Training

Private team courses are quoted per team. Dates, price and cancellation are set out in that quote, and it takes precedence over this section.

Public batches are scheduled runs for individuals. Each batch shows its dates, times, price and minimum number of participants on the course page.

• Booking. Your seat is confirmed once payment is received. Until then a request holds nothing, and we tell you how to pay when we reply.
• Price. The price is as shown with the batch, including any note on tax. An early-bird price applies to payments received by its stated date.
• If you cancel. Up to 7 days before the first session: a full refund. After that: no refund, but you can move to any later batch of the same course within 12 months.
• If a batch does not fill. A batch runs only with its stated minimum. If it will not run, we tell you at least 5 days before the first session, and you choose a full refund or a seat on the next batch.
• If we reschedule. If we must move a session, we tell you as soon as we know. If the new time does not work for you, you can have a full refund instead, provided you have not yet attended.
• Recordings. Sessions are recorded: the trainer's screen and voice, never your camera. Questions asked aloud may be heard in the recording; ask in the chat if you would rather not. Recordings are available for 12 months after the last session, for your own use only, and may not be shared or downloaded for others.
• Lab access. Labs run on your own Copilot Studio trial or tenant. We help you set it up before the first session, but we do not provide licences.
• Certificate. Participants who complete the course receive a certificate of completion from Cloud Architecture Studio. It is not a Microsoft certification and does not replace a Microsoft exam.

What you may do with what you buy

A single-copy purchase is for one person. You may read it on your own devices, print a copy for yourself, and quote short passages with attribution.

Please do not:

• Share, resell or redistribute the files.
• Upload them to file-sharing services or public repositories.
• Use them to run paid training without a licence from us.

If you want to use a book with a team, buy a team licence or email us — we would rather sort out something workable than have you guess.

Corrections and new editions

If we correct errors in the edition you bought, the corrected file is available from your purchase email at no extra cost. A substantially revised or new edition, for example after a major change to the product the book covers, is a separate book and is sold separately.

What we don't promise

These books describe approaches to designing and operating software systems. They are written from real practice, but every environment differs. Nothing here is a guarantee of a particular outcome, and none of it is legal, financial or compliance advice for your situation.

We aim to keep this site available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for anything connected to a purchase is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protections of your local law.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force for your purchase is the one published when you bought. Material changes are noted by the date at the top of this page.
