What we collect, and what we don't.

This describes what this site actually stores, not a template. Last updated 27 October 2026.

Who is responsible

This site is operated by Praveen Kumar D, trading as Cloud Architecture Studio.

What we collect

If you join the launch list

Your email address, and optionally your name, which topics interest you, and what you are building. We also record the page you signed up from, your browser's user-agent string, and the date you gave consent. We record which books you asked to hear about, and keep a log of each email we send you — when it was sent and whether it was accepted for delivery — so we can show that we kept our promise of one email per book.

We do not store your IP address. We store a one-way hash of it, which lets us detect abuse and duplicate submissions without keeping the address itself.

If you use the contact form

Your name, email address, chosen topic and message, plus the same user-agent string and hashed IP. We keep our own notes against a message while we are handling it.

If you book a training seat

Your name, email address and which batch you asked about, plus anything you write in your message. Sessions are recorded as the trainer's screen and voice, never your camera; questions asked aloud may be heard. Recordings are kept for 12 months after the batch ends, then deleted.

If you buy something

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, who act as merchant of record. We never see or store your card details. What reaches us is your email address, your name, your country, the amount paid, and what you bought.

We keep a complete, unalterable record of every payment notification we receive. This is deliberate: it is how we can answer accurately, years later, what you were charged and what you received.

Automatically, as you browse

Our hosting and monitoring record standard technical data — pages requested, response times, errors, and approximate location derived from network routing. We use this to keep the site working, not to build a profile of you.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and there is no analytics cookie following you between sites. The cookies this site sets are strictly necessary: a security token that prevents forged form submissions, and cookies our network provider uses to distinguish humans from automated traffic.

Who else processes your data

  • Microsoft Azure — hosting, database and file storage.
  • Azure Communication Services — sending our email.
  • Zoho Mail — our own mailboxes, so anything you email us is stored there.
  • Cloudflare — network protection and the anti-bot check on our forms.
  • Dodo Payments — payment processing, as merchant of record.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

How long we keep it

  • Launch list — until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you. To unsubscribe, use the Unsubscribe link at the foot of any launch email, reply REMOVE, or write to [email protected]. When we remove you, your email log is anonymised too.
  • Contact messages — while we are dealing with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards.
  • Purchase records — retained long-term. Tax and accounting rules require it, and it is what lets us honour access to something you bought years ago.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to receive a copy. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

One honest limit: where we are legally required to keep a financial record, we cannot delete it on request. In that case we will remove or obscure the personal details we are not obliged to keep, and tell you what remains and why.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Data is encrypted at rest. Access to the administrative side of this site requires a verified organisational account. Payment records are held in storage that cannot be edited or deleted once written, including by us.

Children

This site is intended for professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page. If you are on our launch list, we will tell you by email.
